THE TOUR

Want to find out more about the fishing village of Moitas Beach? Book our Moitas Dunes tour. We pick up our guests at the inn, and the route is on average 24km long, with a total duration of 2h30min, passing through trails, dunes and the seaside. The first stop is at the border of Icaraizinho and Moitas beaches, with a privileged view of the sea, a place known as "Ponta", a stop for photos, a popular spot for kitesurfing. The second stop is at the mouth (where the river meets the sea) of the Aracatiaçú River, where we have Tio Cle's tent, a pleasant tent with drinks, food, photo opportunities and swimming in the river or sea. The third stop is at Barraca Ilha das Ostras, where the client can enjoy a tasting of their choice. The final stop is at the Sunset Dunes to admire the view and take photos.

MANGROVE TUNNEL, EXTEND THE ADVENTURE.

There, we can have another adventure, taking a boat ride along the river, passing through the Aracatiuaçu River and passing through “Camboa”, as the locals call it, a tunnel made of mangroves. At the end of the tunnel, we pass through Dunes and Ilha das Ostras, named as such because at high tide the place becomes isolated. On Ilha das Ostras, we can enjoy seafood cuisine, the oysters are cultivated on the riverbank. The tour continues by buggy or 4x4, climbing the dunes of Moitas, arriving at Porto de Areia known as Dunas do Pôr-do-Sol, thus ending your tour with a beautiful sunset.

"Optionally include the boat trip in the mangroves"

The sunset tour is usually done by buggy or 4x4 and follows the Aracatiaçu River in the final stage. It can be a great idea to include a boat tour that will take you through a tunnel of emerald green water, inside the mangrove swamp. At the end of the boat tour, your car will continue your tour. Note: During the rainy season the color of the water changes and will not be emerald green. This tour is paid separately and negotiated directly with the boatman.
